Immediate opening for an experienced biller at a private practice clinic specializing in Internal Medicine and Pediatric care. Applicant should be familiar with CPT and ICD9 coding. Responsibilities would include working insurance claim edit errors and denials, making appeals to insurance companies for reconsideration as may be required, following up on unpaid insurance claims, meeting with patients about their accounts, work accounts receivable reports and be able to interpret status of AR, and be able to take corrective action for any problems. This position demands a person with good communication skills and with the poise to work under some pressure directly with our physicians and co-workers. No direct supervision of other employees will be required. Requires a professional persona and a “can do” attitude. Competitive salary and benefit package is available.
